Let your light shine. (Matthew 5:16)
At Berkswell School, worship permeates all aspects of school life. We endeavour to provide inspirational and inclusive worships that have meaning and purpose, engage all learners and encapsulates our school vision of love, togetherness and aspiration. Across the school community, great value is placed on collective worship, its place in school life and its impact on individuals.

The worship team play a very important role in collective worship. This group of children lead and conduct worship time, taking on the role of welcoming their peers, leading a range of prayer opportunities and inviting adult speakers to their special time.
The worship team love the opportunity to guide their peers with worship reflections and with living out our school vision day to day.
Let all that you do be done with love (1 Corinthians 16:14)
We have strong links with St John the Baptist Church. Mark, the Rector, leads worship in school on a weekly basis and on a fortnightly cycle the children have their collective worship within the church itself.
Whole school services are held in church on a termly basis with parents invited to attend as well. Annual services include Harvest, Christmas, Easter and the Leavers’ service and the children play an active part in each of the services sharing songs, bible readings and prayers.
Reflection and prayer spaces around the school provide a calm place for personal reflection and prayer. Children love spending time in our beautiful peace garden enjoying a calm place to be during the school day. Prayer stations provide a peaceful place for children to explore their own spirituality.
